Apartment: COMPLETE RENOVATION

In the pulse of the urban living center of Thessaloniki, a breath away from the sub-urban forest of Sheikh Sou, an apartment was designed with architectural perfection and elegance in mind. As part of a radical renovation, individual design decisions were inspired by modern architectural trends combined with the classical value of elaborate plaster decoration.

The floor plan of the apartment was completely changed creating completely new spaces in new positions, achieving full exploitation of natural light but giving many new spaces for the benefit of the owners.

A classic 2 bedroom apartment with a closed kitchen, a small bathroom and a dark living room, were 0converted into an apartment with a single bright living room bathed in natural light. A children’s room with ample storage and a comfortable desk, a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe which is separated from the sleeping area by a glass partition which is one of the dominant decorative elements of the bedroom. The bed is housed in a lacquered wooden structure that extends throughout the masonry above the headboard, bringing out hidden architectural lighting through a recess completely covered in natural Aliveri marble.

The one small bathroom, having completely changed its location, gave way to two new spaces. A new bathroom was created with a large shower and a built-in marble sink and next to this space a second wc with space for a washer-dryer and general storage was placed.

The walnut wood combined with natural marble in the dining room, the lining of the TV and also in the kitchen area, gives the feeling of timeless luxury. The hidden led lighting has a leading role throughout the residence as 12 different hidden lighting scenarios have been configured in masonry, furniture and plasterboard constructions. The hidden stage lighting of the spaces is subtly integrated creating an atmospheric and dynamic lighting that highlights the lines and materials of the space

Our goal was to create a space that transcends the boundaries of aesthetics and offers its owners a living experience that would exceed their expectations.
